KRISTIN RADICKE . PHOTOGRAPHER

Photographs are the sweetest keepsakes to me.  Whether you are a family or a couple seeking to tie-the-knot, the photographer you choose should be someone that you share the same style with.  Lifestyle portraiture is my style completely.  I like to bring out the most lovely personality that's within you as possible when I'm behind the camera.  I work in San Antonio and all of the little towns surrounding it including the Texas Hill Country in Concan, TX as well as Uvalde, TX.  My blog is simply a collaboration of my work and thoughts, which I typically share with you daily, so you can keep up with my life and work this way.

So, I am the crazy person behind the camera.  I LOVE beans.  I LOVE iced tea.  I'm addicted.  I LOVE to cook and create bright & healthy good stuff in the kitchen.  My favorite pass time is cooking.  It's completely therapeutic somehow.  I LOVE all of my family & friends.  I LOVE kincaid.  I LOVE Roma.  I LOVE Dixie to pieces.  Most of all, I LOVE my Dad.  I really like it when it rains, besides having to re-schedule photo sessions.  :)  I enjoy my job thoroughly and LOVE all of the people that I encounter through it.  All of the new faces keep it fresh.  I love color and nature, so I shoot most of my sessions under the sun outdoors.  Nature moves me and inspires me completely.

I was born in San Antonio, TX and I was raised in Uvalde, TX.  Throughout my pursuit to find myself following high school I ran wild across Texas and took a few adventures inbetween.  I first moved to Austin, TX, then found myself living in Dallas, TX, then woke up one day and decided to move to Los Angeles, CA.  I attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in downtown L.A. and graduated with a Fashion Design Degree.  I could not have made it any faster back to Texas.  I hauled it home the very last day of class and never looked back.  California was fun, but was not for me.  All of the glam and glitz becomes old and boring fast.  After all of the hip fun in L.A., I soon became a resident of San Antonio.  I worked as an assistant for a local clothing designer for two years.  Boring.  So, then I tried interior design and felt the same.  Boring.  After great thought and consideration I determined the best thing for me would be to move back to boring ol' Uvalde and work with my parents in our family business Southstar Aircraft Interiors, Inc.  Talk about a change of pace.  With plenty of time on my hands in this slow tickin' town I quickly became interested in learning the art of "technical" photography as I like to call it.  It's all fun and games until you try and photograph the interior of a private jet and that's when you know you need a heavy dose of "technical tutoring" as I like to call it.  My Dad and I have always used professional cameras, so I had a camera sitting right in the palm of my hands the entire time with no idea that it would bring to such an incredible place.  I have been photographing family and friends all of my life.  I am happy to introduce my work to you in a much more formal way.
