Waring, Texas was the quaint location for this shoot.  This ranch historically has great meaning as well as a great amount of personal sentiment to the family, so they had me out to photograph some of the old barns and cattle.  We snapped a few of the girls while shooting the place.  Fun stuff!

Ummm, HELLO angel face!  Lola Kate is one special little lady.  Those big blue eyes and plump rose colored cheeks take my breath away every time I get to see her.  Lola Kate is now 6 months old and she is just beginning to sit up, so some of these shots of her sitting by herself are somewhat first timers for her.  I think she was impressed with herself!  This first shot she reminds me so much of her Dad, John.  I love that about children.  One second they resemble their Mother and the next they resemble their Father.  I heart you LK, you sweet angel face!  

Put a baby girl in a moses basket and she knows exactly what to do.. she immediately lies down and gets cozy!

madeline grace : {i love this girl} : UVALDE, TX PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

Madeline Grace graced us with her lovely little self along with her mother Amber (my sister), for almost a year here in Uvalde.  When they moved here Madeline was not walking and not talking.  Kincaid and I spent many evenings with them after work.  We would hop in the car and zoom over to see Maddie almost daily.  While pregnant and bored, Madeline was the perfect dose of medicine.  She was certainly the light at the end of this pregnancy tunnel for me.  She changed in so many ways while she was here.  She loves baby Light and goes straight to my belly every time we see her.  She and Amber moved to back to Houston the morning I snapped these photos.  It was a bit cold and Maddie was not too thrilled to be taken away from the excitement of all the boxes and moving.  So, she gave me tons of frowns, but they are even more adorable than the smiles to me.  We share the same birthday and we are both hoping that baby Light will jump on board with us and arrive on the 23rd of April too!  Precious girl, we love you!    

lucia neal dixon : {NEWBORN SESSION} : San Antonio, TX newborn photographer

Jenny and Michael welcomed Lucia into the world in early February.  She is a sweetheart, truly.  I've been so anxious to shoot every single one of my friends babies because I think practice makes perfect and these newborn days apparently come and go quickly.  The baby years have begun and are in overdrive for so many of my friends.  We have babies all over the place and I just love it.  I cannot wait until my little bean is part of the crew.  Lucia, you are a beauty!  My newborn session skills are climbing the charts, so look forward to seeing more babies on the blog.
