flannery girls : {ranch session} : waring, texas photographer

Waring, Texas was the quaint location for this shoot.  This ranch historically has great meaning as well as a great amount of personal sentiment to the family, so they had me out to photograph some of the old barns and cattle.  We snapped a few of the girls while shooting the place.  Fun stuff!

URTH STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY: Leona River Ranch

I had the pleasure of photographing a high school senior party at the Leona River Ranch.  The ranch is just lovely and the party was so cool.  Emory Quinn played that evening just below the ranch house on a lush green lawn of grass.  All of the seniors were completely fun.  They danced the entire night away.  SUCH a fun bunch!!!  Here are a few of my fav's from the party along with a few family shots.

URTH STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY: Tanner & London ♥ Cotulla, TX

Thursday afternoon I photographed Tanner and London in Cotulla, TX.  Oh my WORD it was hot.  London is completely in-sync with nature and the outdoors.  She pranced around barefoot all over the ranch.  Tanner is a natural on a horse and I've been waiting for an opportunity to see him rope, so we spent the evening watching him practice.  It's true, he's really good.  On our way to the arena we stumbled over a couple horn toads.  I have not seen a horn toad in years.  I was so nervous about finding a snake that when we crossed the path of horn toad I was floored.  Here are some images from our session in Cotulla, TX.

URTH STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY: Botanical Inspiration ♥ Houston, TX

I've been attached to my computer for the past week and I think the carpal tunnel syndrome is setting in.  I don't know how photographers survive all of the time at the computer editing much less the weakening of the wrists from lugging such heavy equipment around.  I had a nice break this afternoon shooting an engagement session.  Last week I had a Bridal Portrait Session in Houston, TX at a really lush and yummy Botanical Garden.  I showed up early in order to stroll the paths of the gardens and indulge in all of the colors and smells.  The bamboo is so perfect and so dense.  Nature..  is so inspirational.

URTH STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY: green. ♥ San Antonio Photographer

Things are turning green and everything is in bloom.  All of the poor plants and trees were masacred by the hail this morning.  I snapped these pictures yesterday as I was waiting on my pot of beans to boil.  Khaki truly dislikes the camera.  She refuses to make eye contact every time.  She's a cute ol' dig.  I cannot seem to determine what I want my logo to be in terms of color.  I am EXTREMELY indecisive, so I can tell you this won't be the last color scheme. ;
