URTH STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY: Bridal Fair

Sunday was the San Antonio Bridal Fair and I had the pleasure of photographing all of the action backstage.  KM Impressions glammed-up all of the girls for the runway show.  The make-up looks were up to par with all of the current trends and must-have looks.  The colors were all so fabulous and the airbrushing, which was new to me is my new favorite thing.  I don't wear much make-up, so I'm EXTREMELY particular about professionally full-blown make-up looks.  I was actually not really into the whole professional make-up gig for weddings until now.  The airbrushing technique is so light and I LOVE it and it's much easier to photograph.  It makes a world of difference.  The brides make-up doesn't melt away.  Professional make-up is the way to go ladies!!  The Saturday night before the show Frenchie was crowned as Miss San Antonio, TX.  She was presented during the show, so I had a chance to hang with her for a few and shoot a few images..  Miss San Antonio, TX.. )

Hi K!

I'm glad you had a great time! I think you can see why they're called make-up "artists" - I used to use one for my important bridals because it's so important to not only have it look right, but also have it photograph right and give accurate colors. It was a lot more evident on film, but because a lot of the make-up styles and chemical properties have changed, it's a lot easier to get a good shot. Anyway, glad you're having fun! The matrimonial world can be a bit stressful at times - bridezillas everywhere! - but it can also be lots of fun and rewarding.
